THE TEAM

There’s Carol, founder, chef and Managing Director of Deeney’s. Born and bred in a Scottish café, she’s spent her whole life cooking tasty food for the people around her. In the summer of 2012 she decided to give up her day job, and do what she loves full time. Now going to work means cooking good food for nice people, all over London. “Educating people in haggis is our main mission at Deeney’s, we want to promote the nutritious and tasty national dish to people everywhere, and grow the demand for the sustainable meat.”

Paddy, Carol’s partner helps out too. Paddy is a master of the grill and a dab hand at marketing, parking the van and drumming up interest. (If that means fiddling in public, so be it).

Deeney’s also has a growing number of part time Haggis Slingers. We are always looking for new people to join our team, so if you fancy helping out at any of our events or markets, feel free to get in touch!

    I am writing to you from a women’s monthly glossy magazine (sadly I cannot disclose which) and we are looking into the possibility of including you in one of our issues. We’re currently only in our research stage of the article but I’m very interested in your food business. Deeney’s sounds absolutely amazing (and extremely delicious) and I would love to hear more about it.

    I was wondering if you could give some quick details about yourself so we can decipher whether you’d be suitable for the featured article or not. May I ask what is your age, your marital status and whether you have any children? I was also wondering if you could just give a quick sentence or two about how/why you started up your business?
    My editor likes to know the background of our women we feature before she decides which one to carry forth with and thought it best to gather all the appropriate information from you to give your company a little boost in the choosing!

    The issue in question would be for the May 2016 issue and we are already getting well under way with research so if you could reply ASAP that would be fantastic, thank you!
